Originally made for *SCAPE MOV:MENT Lab 2023 and exhibited at Singapore Art Week 2024.

Unfolding as a series of vignettes, hard boil, soft centre is a surrealist short film that reimagines four female archetypes, threaded together with the symbol of the egg. Inspired by mythological figures intermingled with personal dreams, each story features a character of each archetype and their associated landscapes, revealing a peek into these women’s hidden pains. hard boil, soft centre is our way of peeling apart these visual metaphors and letting what’s inside ooze out.

JULIET’S DINNER, 2022

Juliet’s Dinner is a video project featuring the track ‘Last Day’ by Subsonic Eye. Juliet trapped at a dinner party, becomes intrigued by a dollhouse and is pulled towards it. She eventually manages to escape the dinner party and wakes up in the dollhouse.

VOODOO, 2022

‘A feverish portrait of the spiritual turbulence felt during an age of accelerated anxiety. The track and video were created right before the COVID-19 pandemic and captures some of the brewing hysteria of that time. Voodoo captures a sense of anarchism and accelerationist anxiety through spasmodic movement and wailing vocals, celebrating the ecstatic nature of the death drive.’ -Text from NOWNESS ASIA
